Where do you go from here?

Updated: Mar 1, 2020

As the new year begins to unfold, are you and your spouse ready for the challenges that 2020 will bring? Are the two of you preparing a plan you can use to guide your families' footsteps along the way? If not, we want to encourage you to do so. None of us would ever take a long distance trip across the country without proper planning and carefully going over a map of the highways we were about to be using. So why would anyone tackle something as difficult as incarceration without that same type of preparation?

One of the keys to overcoming an incarceration together is setting goals as a couple that not only draw the family together, but also provide small yet celebratory victories for both spouses as they gain traction and momentum. Have you and your mate set goals for 2020 and beyond? If you have not, we hope you will consider doing so. As a wise old professor once stated, "proper planning prevents poor performance". If there is one thing all couples facing incarceration together need, it is to have a singular purpose and a set of goals as they work to overcome their challenges together.

Therefore, let us encourage one another!
